Biography

Laura Stadler-Jensen has expressed herself through writing since the age of 12 as an avid journal writer. She began to hone in on her journalism skills while working for United Parcel Service where she started a column in the company’s corporate magazine, The Big Idea. Since then, she has become an established journalist and has built a career in commnications working for PR agencies, corporations, and non-profit associations in the United States and Europe. 

 

In her PR career, she gained a wide range of experience in many industries including B2B and B2C healthcare, financial services, media and entertainment and technology. Early on she worked with clients including Canon, 3M, Advanced Micro Devices, and AT&T in Dallas and Austin, Texas. She also worked with non-profit associations including the Austin Alzheimer's Association and the American Diabetes Association.

 

While in New York and Boston working for Edelman PR Worldwide, the world's largest independent PR agency, Laura serviced a number of high-tech clients including Analog Devices, Applied Materials, Gateway, Reuters and Targus International. On the corporate side, she managed and directed PR departments for San Francisco-based Digital Island, now owned by Cable & Wireless plc., and Grand Central Communications, in addition to GN Store Nord, based in Copenhagen, Denmark.

 

Laura now offers communication consulting and writing services under her company Next Level Communications. As a writer and freelance journalist, she has an extensive portfolio of written work for a wide range of clients and contributes to consumer and trade publications worldwide. She is also a regular contributor to and copy editor and proofreader for Copenhagen Exclusive Magazine in Denmark.

 

Laura earned a Bachelor of Journalism from the University of Texas at Austin and an Associates degree in Arts and Sciences from Eastfield College. She has completed Master level courses in European studies at Roskilde University in Denmark and a summer school course in "Producing and Using New Media" at the University of Helsinki in Finland.

 

American English is her native language but she is *nearly* fluent in Danish.

 

She is a volunteer for the Danish Cystic Fibrosis Association and is the official representative of Denmark Texas-Exes alumni association in Denmark. Laura resides in Copenhagen with her Danish husband, travels every chance she gets and is a digital photography enthusiast.
